TommyTech sits on the Uxbridge Road in West Ealing, a straight run west from Acton on the A4020. Whether you're in East Acton, South Acton, Acton Vale or West Acton, you're 10 to 15 minutes away.
These are the faults we see most often from customers across W3. Almost all are HDMI-port related and fixable the same day.
Console boots, fan spins, white light, but your TV stays on "No Signal". Classic HDMI port or retimer fault.
Picture cuts in and out, snow, lines, or only works at certain cable angles. Solder joints have failed.
HDMI cable yanked while plugged in. Common after moving the console between rooms.
Cable wobbles, only stays in one position, falls out under its own weight. Port is detaching from the board.
Solid white power LED but no boot output. Frequently the HDMI IC / retimer chip rather than the port itself.
Drop damage often cracks the HDMI port's solder pads. We re-pad and fit a brand new 2.1 port.

Acton's a busy patch for us. We see a steady run of PS5s come through from W3 every week, mostly from the South Acton estate, the streets around Acton Park, and the new builds going up around Acton Mainline since the Elizabeth line opened. The journey from Acton Mainline to West Ealing is two stops and around four minutes, so a lot of customers now drop the console off on the way to work and pick it up on the way back. If you're driving in from Acton High Street, the A4020 brings you directly past the front door and there's free parking on the side streets off Uxbridge Road after 6:30pm.
Two stops on the Elizabeth line to West Ealing, then a five minute walk. Total journey door to door is usually under fifteen minutes. If you'd rather drive, head west on the A4020 and we're on the right hand side just past the Walpole Park turning, inside the Post Office building.
